MY DARLING DAUGHTER

I remember the 1st day when we brought Mark home from the hospital. You were excitedly waiting for him. You even took out a storybook to read to him when we put him in the cot. In the nites when he was cold, you always woke up to cover him with a blanket. Whenever you came back from school and Mark was sick, you will rush in to find out if he is better.

The most touching was when I read a story to both of you when you were 10 years and Mark 5 years. It was about 2 mothers who took the wrong babies home from hospital and raised them as their own for 10 years. When one of the mothers realised the mistake and came to claim him, the other mother had no choice but to return him. You looked at titi and told him that even if he was the wrong baby who came to stay with us, you will always love him and won't return him to the other family. Such is the love you have for your brother.

Looking back, I have always been the disciplinarian. There were days when we get on each other nerves. But I know that in the long run, it is for your good. I remember the 1st time I taught you to live within your budget. You were in primary two and i gave you $5 for the week. On Monday evening you told me that you had already spent all the $5 for the week on eraser and pencil. My heart was aching thinking about you being hungry at recess if I didn't give you any more money. I knew then that I have to be firm in letting you go hungry for the week. It was that week that taught you your first lesson on budgeting. Of course not forgetting many more stressful lessons in your teens.

The most wonderful thing to happen in your life is when you truely found JESUS as your personal saviour. I know that as you journey in your walk with God, HE will always see you every step of the way. The true test will come when you start work as a lawyer.

GOD BLESS YOU ON YOUR BIRTHDAY
GOD KEEP YOU THRU THE YEAR
GOD GIVE YOU FAITH TO REALISE
THE DREAMS YOU HOLD MOST DEAR
AND MAY HIS LOVE AND WISDOM
GUIDE YOU ON YOUR FUTURE WAY
HIS LIGHT SHINE EVER ON YOUR PATH.
THIS IS MY PRAY TODAY

Happy birthday
LOVE, MUMMY
